International Day of Families

Published: 2024-05-15

Every year since 1994, May 15th has been celebrated as the International Day of the Families throughout the world. As family is the basic unit of society, this day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase the knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families. The theme this year is ‘Embracing Diversity, Strengthening Families’.
