Every year in the UK on the first Wednesday in August, National Playday is a celebration of play and its vital role in a child's growth. It also serves as a reminder of the necessity of safeguarding the public areas where kids can play.

It can be completed by communities, at home, in EYFS settings, or in schools. A committed group that collaborates with Play England, Play Wales, Play Scotland, and PlayBoard Northern Ireland oversees Playday.
