World Mental Health Day

Published: 2025-10-10

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recognises World Mental Health Day on 10th October every year. For over 70 years the WHO has been working hard to make sure that mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. Mental health problems can exist in all aspects of our lives and can affect anyone at any time so it is vital that we do as much as possible to prevent mental ill-health as individuals and as a society. World Mental Health Day is also a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling.
